In Memoriam Dick Barten

The Dick Barten Organ Foundation

The foundation dates from 12th December 1991 and was officially registered by Eskens solicitors at Heerhugowaard. The founders, Mr. D. Barten en Mrs. M.A. Barten stipulated as purpose for the foundation the maintenance of the organ culture in the northern part of the Dutch province of Noord-Holland.

The main activities of the foundation are:

assistance for the maintenance and restoration of historical pipe organs with mechanical action by means of subsidies from the foundation
the promotion of knowledge in this field by means of publications.

The foundation is officially registered as an organisation for the benefit of public interest (ANBI). Donations are deductable from income taxes subject to Dutch law.

The council of the foundation consists at present of:

Marieke Neesen-Barten, chairwoman
Bert Huibers, secretary
Andre den Hartigh, treasurer

Members of the council do not receive renumerations.
